On November 24, 2022, Anwar Ibrahim became the 10th prime minister of Malaysia ending years long of uncertainty in top leadership. Nevertheless, he came into power amid challenges not only external challenges like war and intensification in security issues but the internal division of domestic politics. 

In relation to this, Malaysia is one of Cambodia’s neighbours and good friends. With this new prime ministership, Cambodia is also looking forward to having and promoting prosperous relations with Malaysia.

Taking this opportunity, Asian Vision Institute has the privilege to organise this episode on  Malaysia’s new prime minister and implications for Cambodia-Malaysia relations to contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the two nations relation under this new prime ministership as well as the situation in Malaysia after the change of leadership.
